Senior Consultants

Each consulting team has its own senior consultant whose role is to guide the team's learning and to ensure that the client receives quality process consulting. The senior consultant closely follows the work of the team, providing coaching, mentoring and encouragement along the way. The senior also checks in regularly with the client, but does not do the actual consulting work. Each senior consultant has been chosen for their long consulting experience and their understanding of the unique challenges of the non-profit sector. Most of our seniors are independent consultants with an established practice; all volunteer their time to CCP, spending 90 to 110 hours with a single CCP team.

"Giving of my time to CCP keeps me on my toes... at my learning edges, with smart, creative and seasoned colleagues and with passionate team members who want to dip their toes in a completely different service learning experience.  I am honored to be invited to participate and help grow the capacity of individuals and organizations."

- Jean Singer

"Frederick Buechner - novelist, theologian, and philosopher - has said that where the heart's deep gladness meets the world's deep hunger, there we find our vocation.  CCP has provided me a container to help these special cients and learners address those hungers and provide me great gladness.  From my CCP beginning, in a project in Snohomish County, I have also been a learner.  I am a better consultant because of my affiliation with this amazing group."

- Sam Magill

"I've participated as a senior consultant for four different cohorts over a number of years, and as a contributor to discussions about CCP's future.  I've had the opportunity to mentor CCP participants, to get to know more about how other senior consulants work and to come into community with colleagues in new and enriching ways.  My most recent team assignment, collaboration with Geoff Bellman, was a real high point.  Not only did he and I get to know and value another more deeply, but our team was a highly functional group with whom we still connect, and I learned a bunch.  I'm even doing some co-consulting work with a member of that team.  Messages from past cohort members describe lasting value from their CCP experience."
